Snow Day Survival!

What is a 2nd grader to do when there is a snow day.... RIGHT after winter break?!?! Science experiments of course!!!

Here are some ideas to beat the winter boredom blues ;)

If you complete any of these experiments at home, have mom or dad send me pictures and I will post them on the blog!!!

***Make sure you have your parents permission before you try any of these!! You will need a grown-up's help for most of these experiments!***

Creating Colorful Icicles Very cool!! And VERY pretty!!

Candy Cane Experiment
Force & Motion and a Cardboard Wrapping paper tube
Ice Cream in a Bag!
Ice Art - Make a Sculpture out of Ice!
Borax Crystal Snowflakes
Snowman Forts (who doesn't love a good blanket fort?)
Make your own snow!
Salt, water, and ice

Have fun! Send in your photos of the snow day to jfrederich@lindberghschools.ws and you may find it on the blog!
